2020-2021 School Supply Lists

School supply lists are located on the website under the Parent Resources tab. Students who are enrolled in virtual learning will need their school supplies as well. These students will be assigned work that will be graded. I will set up a time for parents to come to school to pick up all workbooks, texts, and math resources that students will need to complete their virtual instruction. As it gets closer to school, I will follow up with dates and times.

Back to School Survey

Please remember to complete the Registration Commitment survey that pertains to school in August. This survey will help us to determine who will need virtual instruction as opposed to on campus instruction. Seats on the bus are limited, so please respond by Friday, July 3rd. All you have to do is click the link below, and answer the questions. Thank you for your time. Your response is critical to the decisions that we will make in order to move forward.

Need Help Coping?

Do you need materials to help your child(ren) cope during these stressful and uncertain times? Please check out the links found under the Counselor's Corner. The Counselor's Corner can be located by clicking on the Academics tab.

Jr. Beta Induction

South Plaquemines Elementary School hosted its Junior Beta Induction ceremony on Monday, September 30th. The sponsors, Mrs. Rita Frelich, Miss. Randi Buck, and Ms. Jamie Tayamen chose the theme, "HARVEST" to reflect the new batch of Junior Beta Members. HARVEST is an acronym that represents the qualities exhibited by budding Junior Beta members. Those qualities include: Honesty, Achievement, Responsibility, Vision, Enthusiasm, Sincerity, and Tolerance. The entire service was student-led by the newly elected officers and members. The new Junior Beta members show much promise, and we are excited to see how they flourish in their community. The ceremony ended with Minister Hilry Thomas blessing the students endeavors for the upcoming year.
